✨In this session, participants will receive practical tips, proven strategies, and ready-to-use plans for the critical two weeks leading up to STAAR—also known as STAAR Boot Camp. Additional six-week plans are also provided for those who want extended support or resources to save for next year.
✨The workshop is built around a small-group rotation model that works effectively in both elementary and secondary classrooms. Participants will receive sample schedules for 2-hour, 90-minute, and 45–50-minute class periods, along with the exact plans Carlin Liborio successfully used in the classroom. Teachers may use the provided resources or plug in their own materials while maintaining the structure of the rotations.
✨Each station targets a key STAAR focus area such as writing, reading comprehension, and revising/editing, with rotations lasting 20-30 minutes.
✨In addition to station planning, the session will cover essential test-prep tips including how to practice in Cambium-especially for students with accommodations-classroom setup strategies, motivation ideas, and more. After reviewing the plans, teachers will have the opportunity to virtually try out & view the station rotations to experience the model firsthand.
